Being a Flake Online

For sometime I ve known some people who felt the same as I did about Online dating.Inpersonal fake and down rigjt bs.Now that it seems this is the only way people find others, yet another problem is making its home on many sites.Flakes. Or as I call them Motherless punks. They post a tempting professional maybe engage in a few chats but ultimately they either don't answer or they give false info on how to meet them. They will say. Come over and give a fake address.or they say brb be rigjt back .Before you know 3 6 10 hours go by.People like this are the perfect example of worthless cowards. If one of you who have done this to me is reading this .The middle bird of your IQ Is saluting you now. What it all boils down to is this.Human society is getting so lazy and depending on tech , that what little manners they had are wasting away.People don't know how to handle politeness.Mark my words. If people don't realize learn how to communicate without text and email but by talking.Things are gonna get worse instead of better.

I might ask myself why I (me, myself) attract such people.

Usually, use tinder or happymatches for gay dating https://www.happymatches.com/blog/hook-up/hookup-apps. Seems useful services.

Welcome to the internet. Just the way it is much like robocalls and robotexts. It will neither stop in your life time or the next.

If people loose interest in talking to you, they don't owe you an exit interview. You sound like the type of guy who would send a girl a drink in a bar and then call her a bitch for not being interested. No one owes you a conversation.

I would agree to this. It'S true one should never assume anything. Nobody owes anybody anything in the flirting business.

But some better manners wouldn't be such a tragedy.  Especially if, and I'm quoting michaelt3,

"They will say, come over and give a fake address"
"they say brb be rigjt back", and they don't

I'm sorry but, IMHO, this is not how people should interact and everybody deserve a respectful encounter. If one don't feel it to be what he is looking for, just say it. Own it. As simple as that.

Flakey should only be associated with biscuits.

True that. With me its not even about losing interest. But rather about being easily distracted by not even necessarily more interesting things. Also technology is not to blame for catfishing, fakeness or cookies... It's only a tool that makes it easier for them to distract u from their unhealthy insecurities, fears or whatever is preventing them from choosing the easy way out. Which is honesty!

IMO people just don't know how to fully utilize technology to their advantage. Many sites work with a way to verify their users identity through identification documents or a system where users can mark others as 'known personally' so you can pick and choose ur fancy. Using common sense helps a great deal too. But in my experience sometimes can be clouded too by wishful thinking, horniness or whatever else these fake people know how to use to their advantage.

Long story short I feel that the topic starter fails to look at the real issues at hand and blame it all on external factors... Cus complaining is easy... and useless! <3

Re: Being a Flake Online

Being a flake online is a term used to describe someone who cancels plans or doesn’t follow through with commitments they make online. This can include making promises or agreements on social media, in emails, or other online forums and then not following through with them. This lack of commitment can lead to mistrust and frustration among online contacts.

Re: Being a Flake Online

Well I chalk it up to chatters that have ADD or ADHD.
If someone loses interest in you while chatting, I wouldn't expect any further details. Most people don't have the etiquette or politeness to say "we aren't a match" or "I am not interested in chatting any more."  Many are sensitive (a generational issue) to the fact that some cannot handle rejection.
